Merchant is one of my brainchild, an all-in-one modular eCommerce growth toolkit designed to increase revenue, retain customers, and boost AOV — packed into one fast, reliable plugin enhancing the WooCommerce experience. I pitched the concept to the company, led its development from inception to execution, and continue to drive its growth and strategy.
The problem: Running a WooCommerce store shouldn’t mean juggling dozens of plugins.
According to my estimates, running a successful WooCommerce store often requires 20+ plugins, leading to unnecessary complexity, performance issues, and high costs. Store owners face challenges in managing these plugins while striving to deliver a seamless shopping experience.
The solution: Merchant combines all essential eCommerce features into a single plugin to boost store's revenue.
Merchant is a comprehensive, modular toolkit that consolidates essential eCommerce functionalities into a single, efficient solution. It eliminates the need for multiple plugins, reduces costs, and improves store performance, all while enhancing the user experience.
My role: As the driving force behind Merchant, I managed every aspect of the project.
Planning and research: Defined the problem space, identified opportunities, and assessed risks.
Design and development: Led the end-to-end design process, from prototyping and wireframing to UX/UI design. Collaborated with developers to bring the vision to life.
Product management: Authored the Product Requirements Document (PRD), coordinated development, and ensured timely delivery.
Go-to-market strategy: Developed the landing page, crafted marketing materials, wrote newsletters, and created support resources for the technical team.
Post-launch growth: Continue to oversee product strategy, feature development, and campaign execution to drive adoption and revenue.
Impact: Since its release in Q3 2023 to as of now.
Merchant has gained over 10,000 users and become one of the company’s top revenue-generating products. Its success is a testament to its value in solving a critical pain point for WooCommerce store owners.
